The orphanage for street children and orphans construction was underway when I met Sister Lucy. It is Located in Ruiru, a community outside Nairobi. LCA provided Tresgad and Sister Lucy with the funds required to build a full property security wall and purchase a sturdy gate. The wall will help ensure that the street children and orphans under her care are kept safe. Later LCA helped supply some meeting chairs and funds to continue with the food program.
Sister Lucy will be able to continue her work with street children, the local community, child and single mother education workshops, food programs etc through this center. The orphanage also provides a safe, loving and healthy place for more children to grow and prosper.
